I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.
And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.
His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keeping secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both.
I received this book for free from The Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I’ve had this book sitting on my kindle for about 2 months now – and while I am kicking myself just a little for not reading it sooner, I am glad I held out for as long as I did (really, when I was able to get the second book) because the ending was a doozy.
There are many reasons why this one quickly became a favorite and one that will stick with me for a long time.
I am a sucker for dark stories. Annie’s life before her escape is horrible, scary yet awe-inspiring since she got up and ran. We slowly learn about everything throughout the book – not getting the FULL details until almost the end. It was the perfect way to keep me on toes anticipating more.
Good heavens this book is hot. It’s sexy, thrilling and at times, dirty. But I loved it.I needed a fan permanently on my person due to the rising temperature while reading. Click To Tweet
Their chemistry is off the charts and some of their scenes together have been the hottest I have read in a LONG time. Plus, I love love LOVED how Annie learned about her body through exploring and self discovery.
There were many, many hints about both Annie’s and Dylans’ past – but it’s revealed to us slowly, over time and each time I learned something new about either (or both) it made my heart pound in anticipation. It’s a wild ride – one I suggest you hold on to tightly.
Annie and Dylan both are amazing characters. Annie is a survivor. More to it – she is discovering herself not only sexually, but with everyday wants, needs and likes. Something as simple as making the choice of what BOOK to read is something so minuscule we take it for granted, but she cherished it. It’s scary and exciting for her – and I loved watching her grow more into herself and a woman as the story went on.
Dylan – was this bubble of mystery wrapped in sex and dark secrets. He is the opposite of Annie in many ways, but they are also a lot similar. He’s demanding yet sweet and in many ways, broken himself..
This is a two-part like. First, I loved the decision that Annie made. I respect and admire her in SO many ways because even though she was doing was painful, and the last thing she wanted to do, she knew it was the RIGHT thing for herself. It takes a lot to be able to see past what is right in front of you.
Annnnnnnd, that cliffhanger. I cannot BELIEVE the book ended where it did. Luckily for ME, I had the second book just waiting for my greedy hands and I was able to drive right in immediately after finishing.
All in all
I loved Everything I Left Unsaid! It’s dark, sexy, thrilling and a MUST read for all romance fans. Seriously. HIGHLY recommend!
