Welcome to Boomerang.com, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up
Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. They’re sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret.
Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well . . . one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morning—together. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post hookup taxi . . . to the same place: Boomerang headquarters.
What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, they’re now competitors for only one job at the end of summer.
As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other, or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?
You voted. I read it.
Last Summer, I was so excited to take part in the covers reveal for Boomerang and was even more excited to read it. But as you can now see, I didn’t right away. Which is why I am kicking myself now because Boomerang is exactly what I love about New Adult.
There are not slim pickings for New Adult novels out there – but it’s difficult (for me) to find a New Adult that is fun and quirky. Yes, it has some drama and even light angst, but there was so much more here going on. And it was sexy without the abundance of sex. So HUGE plus for that.
Both Mia and Ethan are likable, funny and just real characters. They are just.. normal. With normal lives, normal fears and normal dreams. Both had relationship issues, sure, but both were able to grow into themselves and solve it on their own. It was just refreshing. I loved how they slowly got to know each other while working together. Since they weren’t supposed to, it kind of added that forbidden flare to it, too. I also loved the secondary characters. Both Mia and Ethan had fabulous, supporting friends and family and their interactions were freaking hilarious.
One thing though – this was supposed to be over a few months time? I didn’t get that vibe. It felt like mere weeks. That, and the ending felt rushed and ended abruptly. This COULD be because i wasn’t read for it to end. I still enjoyed this one immensely!
If you are on the never-ending hunt for a good, sexy, funny and just overall enjoyable New Adult, look no further! Boomerang is IT.
