It's her best friend's wedding, and Autumn Lane is trussed up in a pink bridesmaid dress with a big “everything is great” smile plastered across her face. She's not going think about her life imploding, or spending the next two weeks housesitting in the ridiculously small town of Diamond. No, she'd rather think about the tattooed hottie in the wedding party...and how to turn the wicked way he’s looking at her into a night of intense pleasure.

Huck Galvin is fiercely attracted to his mystery woman's no-BS attitude, but their one-night-no-strings plan backfires when Huck discovers that Autumn is the out-of-towner he's “chaperoning” for the next two weeks. Outside the bedroom, the two can’t stand each other, yet Huck can’t deny how much he wants one more night with her. But Autumn isn't going to make it easy for Huck. Not by a long shot...

I received this book for free from The Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Confession – when I signed up to review Chasing Desire; I didn’t actually MEAN to. I somehow clicked the wrong box when filling out my request – but that mistake is one that I’m glad I made.

This book was HOT.

This was the first book I have read by Ms. Ryan – and it will not be the last. I loved how this is a series – but can be read as a standalone. I am half tempted to go back and read the first two books!

Autumn is a very confident, strong woman with baggage. After losing her shop due to her gambling father, she is floating until she finds something more permanent. She has fears of not being GOOD ENOUGH, and because of that, holds people at arm’s length. Enter Huck; a sexy as sin stranger that Autumn meets at a bar the night before her friend’s wedding. The two share one hot night together, not knowing that fate has other plans.

Huck has insecurities of his own, but can’t deny his want and need to be with Autumn for more than one night; even though initially it was an ass hole move. It eats him up – since he doesn’t want to want her, but he can’t let go either.

What I loved about these two were hot similar they were, but balanced out perfectly. Their alpha personalities, fears and desire to be loved. They challenge each other, and since both love to be in control, it’s HUGE that they both gave up that control for the other.

Their intense chemistry and sexual tension literally scorched my kindle. I expect Brazen’s to be sexy and hot as hell, but Chasing Desire is probably the hottest ones I’ve read. And it flows naturally off the page. It never felt forced (as some sex scenes can be).

My only issue was how abruptly it ended. I felt like there was a lot of build up to their relationship, and then BAM. We are reading the epilogue. I know since this is a series, we will see more of these two in the coming books.

Overall – I quite enjoyed Chasing Desire. If you love quick, sexy and HOT AS HELL books, definitely pick this up. You will not be disappointed.
